1. Cables in a Solar PV System

Solar cables and wires are seen as the arteries and veins of any solar PV system.

Mostly, the electricity generated by PV solar panels is used at another place. Solar cables and wires are required to transport this electricity.


2.Solar DC Cables 

There are two types of solar DC cables:

‘Module cables’ or‘string cables.’

These cables are usually integrated into the PV solar panels and are equipped with suitable connectors to be interconnected.

Here, you have little influence on the type of cable used.

DC main cable

Special extension cables should be used to connect the posiive and negative cables from strings to the generator connection box (or directly to the solar power inverter).

Depending on the power output of the modules, PV cables with cross-sectional areas of 2.5mm², 4mm² and 6mm² are usually employed.

The DC cables are used outdoors. To ensure earth fault and short-circuit, the positive and the negative cables may not be laid together in the same cable.

Single-wire cables with double insulation have proven to be a practical solution and offer high reliability.

The DC cables between the modules as well as between the generator connection box and solar power inverter are two-core cables, a current-carrying usually a live red wire, and a negative blue wire, both are typically surrounded by an insulation layer.

There are three types of designs to connect the PV strings to the solar power inverter:

PV system with DC Combiner Box

Direct Connection

 

3.AC connection cable

The AC connection cable links the solar power inverter to the electricity grid via the protection equipment.

In the case of three-phase inverters, the connection to the low voltage grid is made using a five-core AC cables (three live wires for the three phases that carry the current, a neutral wire carry current away from the device and ground wire (safety wire) that connects the casing of the device to the ground).

Systems with single-phase inverters require three-core cables (One live wire, a neutral wire, and ground wire).

A:When the single batch order is signed,the buyer should pay 50% as T/T within one week,then the Company will arrange the mass production.

The Company shall arrange the shipment once received the original L/C 90 days at sight from the buyer.

A: Changcheng Cables have been supplied to many countries especially in Middle East,Middle Asia,South America,Southeast Asia countries and regions etc. 

(6) Q: What is your MOQ?

A: MOQ varies as per the cable type.Normally 500 meters for big diameter cables.Please contact our sales directly for detail info if you have specific cable requirement.

A: All quotation is based on the copper price and normally kept 3 days.
