What Is Instrumentation Cable Used For?

They are used for inter and intra communication between

 a) skilled operator and instruments; 

b) between instruments

c) between skilled operators. Calibrated signals like 4–20 mA or 0–5 V or 0–20 V are also transmitted through this cable. Even the digital signals are also accessed.

They are made heavily tough and rigid. So that they can be used from sea bed refineries to any space modules. They are always customized for hazardous environment with appreciable IP and NEMA ratings.
